Gavin DeGraw – Not Over You

Posted by admin On February - 28 - 2012

New York native Gavin DeGraw co-wrote this platinum single with OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder as he begins to broaden his horizon in terms of his collaborations. The success of this song has made DeGraw more open to working with other artists. I personally do not know much about this artist but this song has caught my attention and I definitely going to be looking forward to what else he has to offer. His soulful vocals with deep lyrics draws you into the video and before you know it, you start to feel the music and relate to it. We have all been through breakups so it is somthing that everyone can relate too.

Whitney Houston-Saving All My Love For You

Posted by admin On February - 28 - 2012

It is tragic that a lot of artists are only truly appreciated after their deaths. Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston being the main examples as sales for their music skyrocketed after they passed away. What is even more tragic is that these artists have given us so much and probably could have given us more had it not been for some bad decisions. I am among many who are guilty of only appreciating something after it is gone. After spending the last week listening to mostly Whitney Houston, it is only now I realize what a truly amazing singer she is. Beautiful, graceful, breathtaking are just some of the adjectives you can use to describe this legend. Her music will live on well past even my generation. So on behalf of music lovers everywhere, Thank You Whitney.

Gym Class Heroes continue to be one of my favorite bands as they bring out yet another hit song. This time collaborating with British singer Neon Hitch to give their fans an inside view into the struggles of a travelling musician. In an interview with Z100, front-man Travie McCoy explained that the music video not only takes you behind the scenes on the road, but also relates how hard it is to be in a relationship while chasing your dream.

Fresh off of her divorce from Husband Russel Brand, Katy Perry is expected to have a lot of heartbreak themed songs. Nevertheless it is another great song from the California born singer as her personal problems do not seem to be affecting her ability to make good music

Give Me all Your Luvin’ ( Madonna ft Nicki Minaj and M.I.A)

Posted by admin On February - 20 - 2012

This song caught everyone’s attention with its extravagant performance at the Super Bowl XLVI.Madonna combined with an array of stars to make the performance one to remember. At the Super Bowl she brought out stars such as Cee Lo and LMFAO to compliment her collaboration with Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. It ended a bit controversially with M.I.A flipping off the crowd which left NBC and the Super Bowl organizers in yet another tough spot. It seems the Super Bowl halftime performance is the stage for any attention hungry artist to portray their shenanigans to the world. Nevertheless the music video itself was pretty similar to the Super Bowl performance with the ageless Madonna again defying mother nature to prance around like teen pop star
